Bracing: Some stoves have steel bracing welded on the underside of the top to help prevent warping.

Chimney Oven: An attachment for outdoor wood stoves, specifically Cylinder Stoves. This oven utilizes the heat from the stovepipe and creates a way to heat the oven.

Collapsible Stove: A outdoor wood stove that is designed to be collapsible for ease of packing and storage.

Cylinder Stoves: Manufacturer of a heavy duty, rolled steel camp stove.

Damper: A round disc shaped damper that is designed to go inside of your stovepipe.  This damper allows you to regulate the burn rate of the stove and preserve a fire longer.

Double Bottom: Having a double bottom on a stove helps prevent burnout and extends the life of your stove. Riley Stoves is currently the only manufacturer that uses a double bottom on their stoves.

Double Wall: Having double walls on a stove helps prevent burnout and extends the life of your stove. Riley Stoves is currently the only manufacturer that uses double walls on their stoves.

Elbow: A piece of adjustable stovepipe that is shaped like an “L”. This allows you to angle your stovepipe, useful if your stove jack is located on your sidewall instead of your roof.

Firebox: The inside of a stove where the actual fire is built.

Galvanized: Galvanized steel helps prevent rust and extends the life of the steel. Used most commonly in light weight stoves.

Grate: Stove accessory that sits in the bottom of the firebox to prevent burnout when using coal.

Heating Capacity: The amount of space that a stove will sufficiently heat.

Heating Duration: The length of time that a stove will hold a fire.

Heavy Stove: Term used to describe airtight camp stoves build out of heavier gauge steel. Cylinder Stoves and Kwik Kamp are the most popular heavy stoves.

Kni-Co: Manufacturer of a light weight camp stove made from galvanized steel.

Kwik Kamp: Manufacturer of a heavy duty, octagon shaped wall tent stove.

Light Stove: Term used to describe stoves build out of light weight galvanized material.

Nesting Stovepipe: Stovepipe for a stove that collapses onto itself, allowing you to stack all pieces of stovepipe inside of each other for easier transporting.

Oil Drip Kit: Kit designed to be able to use oil as a fuel source for your camping stove. Currently Cylinder Stoves is the only manufacturer to offer this item.

Pellet Burner: The pellet burner attachment allows users to burn wood pellets with their wood burning stoves.

Reducer: A piece of pipe that has a different diameter on each end. Useful if you need to attach to different sizes of stovepipe together.

Riley Stoves: Manufacturer of a light weight hunting stove made of galvanized steel.

Side Shelf: Stove accessory that attaches to the side of the stove and serves as an extension of the stovetop. Useful to keep things warm without burning and also gives more surface space to work with.

Side Table: Stove accessory that attaches to the side of the stove and serves as an extension of the stovetop. Useful to keep things warm without burning and also gives more surface space to work with.

Sims Stoves: Manufacturer of a light weight, collapsible camp stove.

Spark Arrestor: Stove accessory that goes on the top of the stovepipe. Used to catch large sparks and helps prevent burning holes in tents.

Stack Robber: The Stack Robber or Heat Exchanger is a great way to get more out of your stove. It takes some of the heat from the stove pipe and puts it back into your tent. Also doubles as a spark arrester.

Steel: The material used to build almost all outdoor camp stoves.

Steel Gauge: The thickness of the steel used in construction is referent to as gauge. This varies between the different stove manufacturers.

Stove Bag: Carrying bag for your camp stoves.

Straight Stovepipe: Piece of stovepipe that does not increase or decrease in size.

T-Cap: Stove accessory that goes on the top of your stovepipe, this helps prevent rain and other debris from entering your stovepipe.

Telescoping Stovepipe: Similar to nesting stovepipe.

Titanium: More resistant to burn through and warping. Stronger than steel and weighs about 50% less. Very few stoves are made from this material.

Warming Tray: Stove accessory that attaches to the side of the stove and serves as an extension of the stovetop. Useful to keep things warm without burning and also gives more surface space to work with.

Water Heater: An accessory for wall tent stoves that allows you to heat water.  It usually attaches to the side of the stoves and uses the heat from the stove to heat the water. Typically made from light weight galvanized steel.
