Setting up a porch or cook shack for your wall tent is very similar to setting up the wall tent itself. In fact, all a porch or cook shack is is pretty much another wall tent that is missing an endwall or two.
For almost all cases, you'll want to have the same type of frame for both your wall tent and porch or cook shack. So if you are using an internal frame for the tent, then better use an internal frame for the porch or cook shack as well. Same thing goes for the a-frame.
If you are using an internal frame, then you usually have two options. If your tent has holes or slits in the corner, then you should be able to "plug" your porch/cookshack frame directly into the end of your wall tent internal frame. But if you wall tent does not have any holes or slits in the corner, then you might have to just set up the porch/cookshack frame like a normal tent frame and just set it right next to the tent frame.
If you are using an a-frame style for your porch/cookshack, then you'll be able to just plug the porch/cookshack frame directly into the tent frame. As of right now, Cylinder Stoves is the only manufacturer who makes an a-frame for porches.
There really isn't much else to it. If you were able to set up your wall tent, then simply follow the same type of procedures when setting up your porch or cook shack.
