The wall tent,
also referred to as a cabin
tent, has a history and a
legacy as old as the country.
It provided shelter from the
most severe elements for our
early pioneers, trappers,
miners, and hunters.
The
legacy of the wall tent
continues today, as it is the
most comfortable and
meaningful way to introduce
children and adults to the
outdoors for a quality outdoor
experience.
Our
new and innovative designs
insure our customers of the
highest standards of
construction, materials and
comfort. Our wall tents have
passed the test of time, with
families handing down tents
from one generation to
another, along with precious
memories.
All
fabrics are treated to resist
mildew, retard flame and repel
water. The Relite and the
Canvas used in the
construction of Montana Canvas
tents are fire retardant, and
meet the high specification
standards set by the
California Fire Marshall.
All
Montana Canvas wall tents
comes standard with the
following features and
specifications:
- Stove jack
with a weather flap in your
choice of 4", 5", or 6"
opening. This stove jack is
designed to withstand the
extremely high temperatures
associated with the use of a
single wall stove pipe.
- Full length
ridge pole reinforcement with
additional reinforcement at
the gable ends.
- Eaves
constructed of a double layer
of canvas, double stitched.
- Endwall seams
using six layers of
canvas-double lock stitched.
- Walls are a
full five feet in height.
- 7?6" doors are
secured by a heavy duty
trouble-free YKK zipper with a
generous weather flap that is
secured by Fastex side release
buckles. So easy to use. In
mild weather, simply buckle
the doors open and enjoy the
great outdoors!
- The
bottom of the tent is
reinforced with webbing and
utilizes grommets instead of
sewn-in stake loops to allow
you to stake your tent from
the in side or outside.
- The
sod cloth that is sewn onto
the tent bottom extends a
generous 12" beyond the tent
floor to provide a
weather-tight seal. Compatible
with any terrain and weather
condition, the sod cloth can
be folded inside or extended
outside the assembled tent.
- A
video that shows you how to
set up and care for your tent.
- Each wall tent
comes complete with rope, rope
slips (tension adjusters), and
a storage bag.
Wall
tents with sewn in floors are
a must in certain geographical
areas. They are ideal for
people who want to have a
tight, secure seal all around
their tent. The tent floors
are constructed of the same
material as our optional stake
to the ground floors. It is a
strong laminated vinyl for
strength and ease of cleaning.
If ordering a tent with a
sewn in floor we highly
recommend putting two doors on
your tent, especially if
using an internal frame
system. This will save on set
up time with your tent and
frame. If tent is made out of
relite the floor will also be
made out of relite.
Montana Canvas
offers three different types
of material to build tents out
of. We have 10 oz. canvas, 12
oz. canvas, and relite. We
offer canvas wall tents,
relite wall tents, and blend
wall tents.
